Just too tired…
This is the second entry in a series I call “El Real Momma”
The purpose is just to be completely “Real” with you all and real with myself. The internet can be a place of fear and sometimes I am afraid of the consequences and the negative results that could come from over-sharing. Don’t worry, I am not going to intentionally over-share. But, I am going to share. So here goes:
But, honestly, I am just too tired. Too too tired for words. In fact, as I write this I am too tired to finish the thought I started with at the beginning of this post. But, I digress. My point is this: we’re all worn out. We probably work too hard, some of us may play too hard, maybe we spend too much time volunteering, or make every dinner from scratch or rush to get to the drive thru for breakfast, because we are too late for any other option or maybe we’re just tired from every day life. Whatever it is that is wearing us out, remember to let the guilt go (if I just said “Let it Go” then, the ELs break out into song) and take time for yourself. This week, I will get a mani-pedi. That’s an almost promise. What will you do for yourself this week? The end result? A better you. And, isn’t that better for all of us!
much love!

Back in the swing
We’re two weeks in and I’m tired. Any other mommas and dads with me?
Summers and vacations are times when I find my rhythm. Who doesn’t love relaxing and taking a break from the norm to refresh. But, even so, I love structure. I love knowing what’s next, scheduling myself silly until I just fall over at the end of each day. It’s part of the reason we plan weekly themes in the summers. It helps me to make a plan. A plan that still allows all of us to sleep in on summer days.
And, that is the reason I’m so tired. Every school day I wake up by 6am. I am NOT an early riser. I’m a sleeper and a dreamer. I’m also a Momma, so I convince myself if I just get up now, I can take a nap once all of the Els are at school/work. That’s just me lying to myself. I’ll never stop to take a nap. But, the thought is nice.
So, we’re off. In the rhythm of school and work and practices and lessons and choirs and teaching and rehearsals and total chaos. We’re in our rhythm. We’re happy and good, but tired. How are you doing with the kids back in school?

It’s Fall…here’s our EL Update
The baby Els go to school!
It has been a busy week at the El house! On Friday, Miss T. and Little L went to visit their school and El Momma went to orientation. The Big Els were both in Elementary School at the time. So, I was able to give the event and my little ones, all the attention they needed. It was good. T loved her class. She is pictured (top, below) with the pink star balloon they gave her, which happened to match her outfit. She was super happy. On Monday morning, Trinity was still excited about school. The other picture below is just after she’s happily entered her room, and just as she’s decided that she would rather go with me. 🙂
I am excited for L and T to be in school. I pray they will be blessed this year and that the time I have, I can use it wisely. I don’t know how I’ve gotten anything done for the past 7 years. Perhaps, I will hit a new found stride with my kids at this age and I will get my house organized! I am hopeful!
