Rebekah Maddux El-Hakam (pronounced El-Hawk-um) is a mommy blogger, blogging at ElMomma.com since 2008. ElMomma began as a place to document life with 2 children and one on the way. It grew to a place that now documents all things ElMomma and has well over 200,000 views!
The El-Hakam family has also grown a lot over these last 15 years. We are raising 5 children ages 2 to 18 years. Currently the 5 Els are enrolled in 4 different schools and we are busier than ever! Rebekah and her husband, Moustapha live in Bellaire, Texas. Rebekah is a Worship Services coordinator at the largest Episcopal church in the world, mom, blogger, community volunteer, creator and singer-songwriter. The El-Hakam family lived through the loss of their daughter, Mary-Linda at 18 weeks gestation in 2017. Mary-Linda had a missed-diagnosis of Fetal Maternal Hemorrhage. Rebekah was raised in Oak Ridge North, a suburb of Houston, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and lived in Los Angeles for four years before marrying Moustapha and moving back to Texas and starting their family. Rebekah went back to work outside the home, full time in July of 2022. She continues to write and create music.
