Mother’s Day 2010

A Mother’s Day to remember….
My day began with the sounds of someone moving around. I could hear them through the baby monitor. It must have been 6am. At first I was scared that someone was in the house that wasn’t supposed to be. When I finally woke up enough to ask Moustapha to check it out I realized he wasn’t next to me and must be the person making noise in the kitchen.
He was up early cleaning the kitchen and preparing for an amazing breakfast he was going to prepare.
The children were very excited about Mother’s Day and especially excited about breakfast.
Moustapha served eggs, biscuits, fresh decaf coffee, strawberries, waffles and bacon.
They also gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
It was a great way to start the day.
After breakfast, we made our way to church. We enjoyed the service and headed to lunch with my side of the family.
We met Michael and Patricia and their children, and my parents and my sister for lunch.
We also celebrated my brother’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Michael!
After lunch, some of us needed a nap, including me. But, I didn’t get one.
That evening we met Moustapha’s parents for dinner at a Local Lebanese restaurant. Here’s a picture of Grandma opening one of the silhouettes I had made of the kids by Cindi Rose. Those were Mother’s day gifts for both of our moms and me. They are really beautiful.
Thank you to my family, especially my wonderful and loving husband for making this Mother’s Day so special. You are loved!
